Tomorrow is strike day. Across the country, thousands of young people will be walking out of school and work and staging rallies, sit-ins, banner drops, and office takeovers to demand that politicians everywhere champion the Green New Deal.
Right now, as 2020 primary season heats up, politicians everywhere are watching closely to see what voters care about--and shaping their policy are it. This strike is our chance to send a message that any politician who wants our generation’s votes in 2020 must enthusiastically champion a Green New Deal--our lives and futures depend on it.
We’re up against some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the world -- fossil fuel billionaires -- and the only way we’ll get politicians to champion the wellbeing of our generation is by making ourselves impossible to ignore.
