Happy Independence Day!

It's been 246 years since 13 colonies bravely declared their independence from the British Empire and started the greatest experiment in the history of the world. 

Our nation has gone through so much since that fateful day, but one thing has endured: America has been a beacon of hope and freedom for people across the globe. 

It's hard to imagine that as wise as our Founding Fathers were, they could have anticipated just how monumental their impact has been on the entire planet. They had a simple but pure vision that we are all created equal with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 

It has been a sacred tenant of our nation, yet one that blood has been shed to protect throughout our 246-year history. 

The battle for the heart and soul of our country continues to this day. America IS exceptional. We must never forget that and fight to protect what makes us exceptional: freedom and opportunity for all.
