| Happy Fourth of July, everyone The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time for family, get-togethers, fireworks, and barbecues. But it also gives us a chance to reflect on our democracy and our shared responsibility to defend it. AWhile we have much to celebrate, for me, like you, the Supreme Court’s attacks on reproductive rights, ongoing gun violence, and the revelations from the January 6th hearings loom large. Despite our big achievements, it can sometimes feel hard to see the progress we’re making together. But, spending time with loved ones to celebrate the values and freedoms of our country reminds me why I’m in this fight as I hope it does you. So let’s take some time to relax, recharge, and recommit to fighting for our progressive values. Happy Fourth, enjoy your fireworks, loved ones, parties, and freedom! – Doris
