From my family to yours, I’m wishing you a Happy Fourth of July!

I hope that, like me, you’ll be spending this holiday enjoying a cookout and spending time with those who are closest to you.

I won’t sugarcoat it – these past few weeks have been tough. But the history of our country teaches us that through perseverance, the rights of every individual can be won and protected. And you can bet that I’ll be standing with you on the frontlines.

Even in moments of uncertainty, I still believe that our country is the greatest in the world because of the people it’s made up of. Change is possible if we make it so.
