Hi team,

I want to wish you and your loved ones a happy Fourth of July.

I also want to reflect on what independence can mean in a country that just stripped away the freedom of bodily autonomy from millions of Americans – against the will of the vast majority of voters who wanted to keep Roe in place.

Friends, we have our work cut out for us over the next few years to fight against this troubling trend of taking us backward in time. Our country was founded on the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but I’m afraid we’re slipping away from that.

But together, we can make sure we right this ship. We can protect the Democratic majority in 2022, we can codify Roe into law, and we can get back to the real work of fighting for the middle class and ensuring every single American has the opportunity to live up to their full potential.

Together, we can fulfill the promise of America.

I’m so glad to have you on my side as we fight to defend one of the most critical seats in defending the Democratic majority in the House. We can win this, together.
