John, today I’m reflecting on both how far we have come as a country and how much work still has to be done to build a Philadelphia that works for all.
Just this month, we watched as the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe v. Wade — for the first time in our nation’s history, the highest court of the land ruled to strip Americans of a fundamental human right.
We must stand united in our fight for freedom. Local legislators are the first line of defense when it comes to protecting the well-being of you and your family — that’s why I focus so much of my efforts on the City Council on policies that expand protections for all.
Philadelphia is filled with such diversity, and we must continue working to create true liberty and justice for all.
Have a safe and happy holiday.
