Happy 4th of July, john.

As we celebrate our country’s independence, the most important thing that keeps coming to my mind is that the fight for freedom didn’t end on July 4th, 1776. It was just beginning.

I’ve been fighting for our country’s freedom since the day I raised my right hand at 17 years old and swore into the U.S. Marine Corps.

That fight didn’t end when I left the Marines — I’ve been fighting for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for the people of this country every day.

It’s why I’m running to represent the people of TX-23.

Because political posturing isn’t going to solve the problems Texans are facing. It’s clear that Tony Gonzales, Greg Abbot, and the Texas GOP have given up on fighting for Texans — they only fight to fill their own campaign bank accounts.

Democracy isn’t going to save itself and things aren’t going to magically get better — we have to fight for change, for freedom, and for a better world for ALL Texans.

On the 4th of July and every day, I’m all in to fight for the folks of TX-23. And I want you with us every step of the way.

Grateful,

John Lira
