Hey John, on behalf of everyone at the Montana Democratic Party, I wanted to wish you a Happy Independence Day on this wonderful July 4th!

We always take this time of the year to celebrate the strides we’ve made as a country and, of course, the day we gained independence. But this year, we’re asking for a bit more.

We’ve had a tough year for the freedoms of Americans, and in many ways, our country is moving backwards instead of forwards. In light of decisions in the Supreme Court and increasing right-wing extremism, we must be even more vigilant.

On this Independence Day, I ask that you have a great celebration with family and friends, but also reflect on how we can make this country even better.
