NextGen Academy: Leadership and Team-Building
When: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., September 21, 2019
Where: Venture Out, Columbia, Missouri
Cost: FREE!
One year ago, Next Generation Ministries created the NextGen Academy to be an environment for students and young adults to discover and grow in their faith alongside friends and mentors during quarterly events. Students will explore spiritual gifts, leadership development, and service and mission. This exciting, free program enables students ages 13-18 from across the state to grow in their faith amongst a community of curious Christians. NextGen Academy on September 21 is centered around leadership and team building. Attendees will meet at Venture Out, a ropes course and team building center offering high ropes and on-the-ground challenge courses. The Team Challenge Course, Odyssey High Ropes Course, and Alpine Climbing Tower are fun and effective tools our group will use to build trust, learn conflict resolution skills and practice successful communication strategies.

We #LovedWell at Youth19
NextGen Ministries participated in Youth 2019 July 10-13 in Kansas City Missouri. People attended from all over the country, and we had around 300 students and leaders from Missouri. Over 100,000 meals were packaged through RISE Against Hunger and over 20,000 school kits were assembled for Midwest Mission. Our inflatable obstacle course was a great way to burn some energy and meet kids from other youth groups. We even had ice cream with Bishop Farr! It was a great weekend with lots of worship, learning and fun!

Resource Highlight: Wesley Bros
Join Charles and John as they explore different topics and ideas through comics and videos. There’s new comics each week, and you can also search the archive for topics or conversations that you are currently discussing in your youth group. Some are silly, some are heavier on themes of traditional Wesleyan view points and some are political. In any case, they might be a good discussion starter. Check them out →
