Hello Colorado Republicans -

Happy 4th of July to you and your families!

In 1776, John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail just after signing the Declaration of Independence that this act should long be celebrated by future generations of Americans. I'm proud to say that we continue to honor that wish.

Adams wrote: "I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more."

I believe that John Adams was right and that Americans should never stop celebrating and honoring the liberties and freedoms our nation was founded on.

God bless you, God bless your families, and God bless the United States of America.

Happy 4th of July from the Colorado GOP.
