Happy Fourth of July, John!

I hope you all are enjoying the holiday weekend and are able to spend time with your loved ones!

Today, I am celebrating our freedom and how far our nation has come, but I am also reflecting on the recent tragic setbacks to equality and our democracy. Just like our Founding Fathers, I will not sit back and accept injustice. I hope you will join me in continuing the fight for a better, more perfect, and more equal union.

But today, I hope you have a safe and happy Fourth of July.
