I hope you made plans today to relax, celebrate, and enjoy time with family, friends and loved ones!
On the 4th of July we celebrate a nation that was built on the principle of government that is of, by, and for the people. This 4th of July in particular, I'm reminded that patriotism is not passive. In fact, it is quite the opposite.

Patriotism is helping foster a healthy democracy by showing up to vote. Patriotism is getting involved in the political process, be it locally or nationally, to ensure that your representatives truly represent your values. And patriotism is standing up against the status quo, no matter how disruptive that might be when our government is not listening to the will of the people.
Now more than ever, it is crucial that we honor our country’s principles by making sure our leaders reflect our values. If you’ve been considering how to make your voice heard, today is a great day to get involved.
