Happy July 4th, friends!

Today is a day to celebrate the ideals our country was founded on: freedom, liberty, democracy, and more.

We’ve made much progress toward living these ideals in the past 246 years, and that’s worth celebrating.

As we pause to acknowledge our history, it’s hard to ignore the current attacks on our rights and freedoms. Extremists are actively coming after abortion access, same-sex marriage, voting rights, and more.

July 4th is a reminder that, in the United States of America, we fight for freedom for all.

I’m proud to be a part of that ongoing fight — and proud to have you here with me.

I hope you have a meaningful day with friends and family. Tomorrow, we push forward.
