The student debt crisis in this country is robbing a generation of their
future. Our current education system sets students up to fail by forcing
people to seek higher education and then punishing them with crushing
student loans that make it nearly impossible to afford housing or
groceries or medical bills for years on end. That’s just wrong.

Over 45 million Americans owe more than $1,625,300,000,000 in student
debt. I happen to be one of them. Maybe you are too. What should we do
about it? Cancel it ALL.

Bernie Sanders, along with DFA- backed candidates, Ilhan Omar and Pramila
Jayapal just proposed their bold plan to eliminate ALL student debt and
guarantee college as a right for everyone.

Even better?

Wall Street is going to foot the bill. Through a small sales tax on Wall
Street trades, our government could gain billions of dollars to make
public colleges and universities completely and totally free.
