If someone stops you on the street and asks "How do we abolish war?" it's not always easy to come up with a quick answer. That's why we developed War Abolition 101, to help you make the best case for shifting from war to peace.

The 6-week online course, starting January 13, will give you the talking points to address tough questions about how we move towards a world BEYOND war. Leading experts and changemakers from around the world will guide you through weekly topics. We'll explore the strategies needed to demilitarize, manage conflict nonviolently, and cultivate a culture of peace. Learn more and register now.

Watch this video describing the course:

Acquiring new knowledge is just the first part of learning. The second piece is putting ideas into practice. Course participants are encouraged to participate in guided discussions on the online chat room. And short weekly written assignments will help you test out your talking points.

The 6-week course will debunk the myths that war is inevitable, beneficial, just, or necessary, and offer its alternatives. We'll dig deep into the environmental impact of war, which is a leading contributor to the climate crisis. We'll also discuss the economic cost of war, to the tune of $2 trillion a year.

War isn't going away on its own. What must we understand about the war system if we are to dismantle it? How can we become more effective advocates for peace? Sign up for War Abolition 101 to find out.
