Early Voting Info for August 2 Primary
Voting is underway for the August 2 primary! You can vote before Election Day in any of these ways:
-
If you are on the Permanent Absentee Application List, you should have received an absentee ballot application in the mail. Remember, you have to fill out and return the application in order to get your ballot mailed to you. Be sure to check the box for “August 2 primary election and November 8 general election” in Section 2 so that you’ll be mailed a ballot for November without having to apply again this year.
-
If you have a Michigan driver’s license or state ID, you can apply for your absentee ballot online and have it mailed to you.
-
Go in person to your city or township clerk’s office, apply for an absentee ballot, and vote it right there. Find your clerk’s location and hours here.
-
Need a paper application for an absentee ballot? Call your city or township clerk and ask to have an application mailed to you, or download and print the application here.
- Questions? Call the MDP Voter Assistance Hotline, 1-833-MI-VOTES (1-833-648-6837).
