This isn’t your grandfather’s Republican Party any longer, John. As we prepare for the November elections, here’s who the GOP is supporting in some of their top races:
- Dr. Oz (PA): Sued for spreading pseudoscience on his TV show — including telling people that their sleep would improve if they wore socks filled with hot uncooked rice, resulting in a man getting third-degree burns...
- Herschel Walker (GA): Pushed a snake oil body spray that would “clean you from COVID as you walk through [the] dry mist”...
- Blake Masters (AZ): Praised the Unabomber’s manifesto and was caught promoting his billionaire boss’s business on the campaign trail...
- Ron Johnson (WI): Said athletes are “dropping dead on the field” after getting vaccinated (along with dozens of other outrageous comments in the Senate)...
We can’t make this up, John. These Republicans are as out-of-touch as it gets.
But here’s the situation: all four of these candidates are running in top Senate races this November. Any one of these seats could determine whether we can defend the Senate this year, so we need to act.
