Let me tell you about my colleague and friend Jaime.
I’ve known Jaime Herrera Beutler for about 14 years. In that time, I’ve gotten to know a woman who is smart, who doesn’t take “no” for an answer, and who gets things done. I couldn’t be more proud of Jaime and the way she approaches her job. She’s clearly a one-of-a-kind with a heart for public service.
Washington is lucky to have a member of Congress like Jaime -- which is why I am asking for your help today.
Despite her effectiveness, my colleague Jaime is being targeted by Democrats because she represents the last red Congressional district on the west coast of the United States.
We can’t afford to lose a Republican star like Jaime.
Together, Jaime and I have teamed up to cut federal taxes by thousands of dollars for working families (which helps offset some of the damage done by liberal Olympia), improve resources for our veterans, address the homelessness enveloping our cities, preserve our hydropower dams from extreme environmentalists trying to remove them… the list goes on.
But national Democrats don’t care.
They want to oust my friend Jaime as a trophy, part of their effort to have a solid blue wall of Democrat districts from the Canadian border all the way down to Texas.
