John,

Mitch McConnell is NOT a fan of my bill to expand the Supreme Court. He’s accused me of trying to “destroy the court’s legitimacy through partisan court-packing.”

But here’s the thing – Mitch McConnell is the one who has packed the court.

He held up Merrick Garland’s nomination eight months before the 2016 election because, in his words, “the American people should have a say in the Court’s direction.” Eight months.

Yet, as we all know, he rushed Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation in 2020 while voters were in the process of electing Joe Biden president. McConnell and Trump packed the Supreme Court full of right-wing ideologues, forcing a backwards and dangerous agenda on the entire country.

Mitch McConnell is the one destroying the court’s legitimacy through partisan court-packing.

I’m trying to save the court's legitimacy by unpacking it.

We NEED to expand the court now to protect the integrity of our federal judiciary and to defend the American people from a rogue group of ultraconservative zealots.

I agree with what Mitch McConnell said above: the American people should have a say in the Court’s direction. So, John – if you’re upset about where the court is headed, power the effort to expand the court and right the ship by making a donation now >>
