As Chief Counsel for Brady, I’d been preparing for the Supreme Court’s first major decision on the Second Amendment for months. And its opinion was worse than I could have imagined. This radicalized interpretation of the Second Amendment ignores precedent, history and the Constitution’s text, and blatantly ignores public safety. With it, virtually anyone can carry a concealed firearm, virtually anywhere. More guns in public spaces puts us all at risk.
