I wanted to reach out today to wish you and your family a Happy Independence Day and a safe and fun long weekend.
The Fourth of July marks the ratification of the Declaration of Independence and the beginning of our country’s great struggle for the universal rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I was honored to defend those values when I served in the military, and I will be just as honored to defend them in Congress.
It’s been a long journey, and this weekend allows us time to reflect on just how far we’ve come – and how far we still have to go for our freedoms. But the fight for our common good lives on, and I’m ready to get to work to make sure our government fulfills its promises.
I also wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Folks like you stepped up this past week to help my campaign end June on a high note. Thanks to all of you, my team will be able to put together a strong fundraising report for the Federal Election Commission built on our people-powered team here in western Pennsylvania.
