John – we did it!

Thanks to your support, we surpassed our second quarter fundraising goal! We are now in a strong position headed into this next stage of our campaign to flip CA-45.

I hope you have the opportunity to take some time off with friends and family this holiday weekend. For my part, I've been reflecting on what the Fourth means to me.

There's a reason I chose to serve in the Navy and run for Congress. I believe strongly in the idea that we have an obligation to give back to this country that has given us so much. Sometimes, that means fighting to protect the rights and opportunities that are now being denied to us by extremists and ideologues.

If these past few weeks have shown us anything, it’s that we can’t take anything for granted. I know there’s a lot going on that might have some of us feeling pessimistic, but this team is proving that we can maintain our resolve and stand up for our shared values.

Again, I’m so grateful for your commitment and ongoing generosity.
