"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

- 1 Peter 3:12

Africa & Europe

Pray that cases of police abuse of power and sexual violence against children in Kenya will not be delayed due to frequent adjournments or any other reason. Pray for cooperation and favor with the government actors that we work with, particularly as this is an election year and their focus may now be on elections.

Latin America

Praise God for the conviction of a Dominican man found guilty of sex trafficking four young teens! In 2019, IJM assisted the government in rescuing these minors from the man’s house where he sold them each night. Nearly three years later, the aggressor has now been sentenced to eight years—IJM’s first conviction in the city of Santiago. Praise God for this significant victory and please pray that it will encourage the local community as they see more criminals being held accountable.

South Asia

Please pray for a story-gathering trip next week with seven survivors of sex trafficking. These young women had been rescued by IJM and local authorities and then repatriated to their home country, where they have been recovering and rebuilding for the last few years. Today, they want to celebrate their own progress and the broader fight against trafficking. Please pray for their preparations to speak, for the logistics of travel and for great creativity as we both protect their identities and celebrate their amazing progress.

Southeast Asia

Praise God for a successful training held in Bangkok! In partnership with IJM, Australia’s Indo-Pacific Child Protection Program conducted a trauma-informed care training for 25 prosecutors and legal staff based in Thailand. During the training, speakers from the Philippines shared about best practices for trauma-informed care and how they can be applied in cases of online sexual exploitation of children.

IJM Global Office & Partners

IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Please pray for our teams as they celebrate the Fourth of July holiday weekend! While our U.S. employees take the holiday off, join us in prayer for a restful and rejuvenating long weekend for our teams who have been running hard to support the mission of IJM.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them,
please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
