Share a message of support for a Light Mother in Burundi

Dear Friend,

 

In Mwaro province, Burundi, amazing mothers like Claudine, Alice and Jacqueline, pictured above, are volunteering their time as 'Light Mothers' to share life-saving skills and knowledge with other mothers in their communities.

 

Burundi is one of the hungriest countries in the world. And with the climate crisis worsening, it's becoming increasingly difficult for families to feed their children. That's why the role of Mamans Lumières, or Light Mothers, is so vital.  

 

**I'd love to show Light Mothers in Burundi how much we appreciate their amazing work helping mothers and their children fight hunger. Please join me in saying thank you by sharing a message of support and encouragement. **

***“For the last three years, I have proudly volunteered in my community. I travel to remote areas to meet children who are eating just one sparse meal a day, and their mothers who are doing all they can to provide for them.***
