Paying More for Less at 4th of July Picnics

Our friends at the American Farm Bureau Federation put together examples of how your Independence Day barbecues and picnics will be a bit more costly this year. Sadly, it didn't have to be this way. With complete control of Washington, Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi rammed through wasteful trillion dollar spending bills that racked up debt, caused inflation to rise, and did nothing but hurt our nation’s working families who are struggling to get by.

Check out this story here from the Mesabi Tribune on how Iron Rangers are battling Bidenflation. “We’re having issues with dry goods, groceries, frozen and dairy products, meat products have been spotty at best and prices are rising faster than anybody realizes.”

Biden Blames Putin, But Americans Know Better

While Joe Biden is claiming otherwise, the reality is $5 a gallon gas that you’ll be paying this weekend is not being caused by Putin. Rather than produce American energy, Biden is begging the Middle East and Venezuela to produce more oil. Consider:

• Production in the U.S. is down 1.2 million barrels a day compared to 2020 - just two years ago
• Refinery production in the U.S. is down 1 million barrels a day

The solution is right in front of our faces. We have the resources right here in North America to end our reliance on foreign countries, in some cases hostile countries. Let’s end the war on American energy!!

Fentanyl Crisis: Let’s Secure Our Border and Break up Drug Cartels

As a 23-year police officer, I saw the fentanyl crisis firsthand in our part of Minnesota. This is a complex problem, but any solution should start with a two-pronged approach of securing our southern border, and getting Mexico to break up its cartels and put an end to the synthetic opioid labs there. Since Joe Biden won’t lead, I like many House Republicans are calling on the administration to make sure fentanyl is on the top of the list of issues to discuss with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador when he comes to Washington later this month.
