After years of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell stacking the Supreme Court
with far-right ideologues, it has become increasingly political – issuing
opinions that overturn longstanding precedent and that stand in stark
contrast to widely held public beliefs.

Roe, and along with it, reproductive freedom, has been decimated;
separation of church and state has been severely undermined; commonsense
gun reform has been upended; environmental protections severely
jeopardized – and that’s just the beginning.

Alarmingly, conservative justices on the Court have also made their
intentions clear in signaling it may soon be time to review precedents
that protect marriage equality and access to contraception.

The American people's confidence in our democracy itself is being shaken
by this Court’s political rulings that consistently go against the will of
the people – and we must demand change.

that would strengthen its integrity and restore public faith in the

While the ascension of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Court is an
encouraging and welcome development, it is not enough to restore the
balance and integrity the Court is so sorely lacking.
