Hi John,

This is Bradley Whitford. I’m an actor and you might know me as the
character Commander Lawrence in The Handmaid’s Tale. Some of you might
know a little bit about the dystopian world depicted in that show, but I’m
writing to you about the very real stakes for so many women and
marginalized communities if we don’t act against the far-right’s agenda.

The Supreme Court’s takedown of abortion rights for millions of Americans
is a strong reminder of the collective trauma and reproductive violence
disproportionately inflicted upon Black, Latina, and Indigenous women --
and trans people -- for generations. The kind of trauma and violence that
hurt and killed many people far before a fictional story like The
Handmaid's Tale was conceived.

Remembering our history, honoring the resiliency and progress made, and
fighting like hell to protect hard-fought freedoms -- with strength and
urgency -- is how we’ll win this fight, John.

far-right extremists who want to strip away our reproductive freedoms.

leaders like Gov. Evers and AG Josh Kaul -- who fight like hell to protect
reproductive freedom, or far-right leaders who will enforce a 19th-century
abortion ban as the law of the land.
