The radical conservative majority on the Supreme Court has officially stolen away the right to an abortion. The decision -- made possible by Trump’s three appointees -- now leaves this fundamental right up to state legislatures.

It should come as no surprise that gerrymandered state maps have led to state legislatures that have criminalized abortion. The same forces that gave Republicans power to appoint justices who control the Court have given them control of far, far too many states.

The right to bodily autonomy is fundamental, and one way to protect that right is by ensuring that state legislatures accurately reflect the will of the people. Our movement can play a role in protecting access to abortion by fighting to have state legislators elected in fair districts -- can you make a contribution and help power our campaign for fair maps and elections? More than 60% of Americans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. In 29 of 50 states, a clear majority of people hold this view.

And yet, experts predict that 26 states are likely to criminalize abortion. That shouldn’t happen if state legislatures actually represent the will of the people.

Fairer maps are an important way of ensuring that America’s broad, pro-Roe majority’s voice is heard. But this fight will be long and hard, and we need your help.
