John --
We are thrilled to see such a big step taken toward ending the failed "war on drugs" that contributed to institutionalized racism and the criminal justice epidemic.
Now that the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act has made it through the judiciary committee, it will be heading to the House floor for a full vote. And this version of the bill includes Dwight's own Homegrown Act to ensure small businesses and communities of color are able to share in the success of the booming cannabis industry.
There's a lot of work to do to get the MORE Act over the finish line, but we are thrilled to see cannabis legalization treated like the racial and economic justice issue it is. Join Dwight today in the fight to expand marijuana policy reform once and for all >>
Thanks,
Michael
