MARCH ON is dedicated to increasing voter turnout and driving Democrats to the polls. Our data-driven solutions helped defeat Donald Trump in in 2020. Now, we're gearing up to hold the House and Senate in 2022 to advance our progressive agenda.

Dear Friend,

No matter our color, party, or zip code, we deserve an equal say in the decisions that shape our future.

But in the current, out-of-balance system, wealthy special interests and big-money donors hold too much power – and they use political loopholes to hide their spending on lobbying, elections, and judicial confirmation hearings.

Now, the Senate has the opportunity to help ensure that special interests, corporations, billionaires, and foreign interests do not sway our elections or gain influence over our government – by passing the DISCLOSE Act.

Below is a sample letter you may use as a guide when writing your own letter to the editor about the DISCLOSE Act:

Dear editor,

Our current political system is completely off-balance – rather than prioritizing the views and opinions of the American people, politicians are beholden to the interests of the rich and powerful.

This is by design. Special interests use political loopholes to pour anonymous “dark money” into lobbying and campaigns – and over $1 billion in dark money was spent on the 2020 election alone.

But there is a solution to this crisis – Congress can pass the DISCLOSE Act, which would put political power back in the hands of the people by stopping anonymous spending in our elections.

I urge my fellow community members to contact your local elected officials about supporting the DISCLOSE Act. And I strongly urge [insert name of your Congressperson here] to do everything in your power to pass the DISCLOSE Act and make our elections free and fair once again.

Thank you,

Thank you for making your voice heard.
