Yesterday’s decision by the Supreme Court to end the cruel "Remain in Mexico" policy [[link removed]] is the right one. But our fight to ensure the rights and dignity of immigrants is far from over. While the Biden administration worked to end this policy, they have yet to create the systemic changes our communities urgently need. We must continue to hold them and all policymakers accountable to ending discriminatory policies, keeping families together, and ensuring the rights and dignity of all people are protected. No exceptions.

Last week’s overturning of Roe v. Wade [[link removed]] effectively undid 50 years of progress. For decades, immigrants and people of color have led the movement for reproductive justice in communities across the country—and now, devastatingly, the Supreme Court’s decision will come down the hardest on them. But make no mistake, we won’t allow our rights to be taken away and we will never back down. We’ll continue organizing, voting, and supporting immigrant women and women of color candidates to ensure a future where everyone’s bodily autonomy is honored and protected.

The Biden v. Texas ruling means that President Biden can finally revoke the backwards, bigoted policies of his predecessor. This victory also means we can push for more progress.

And Updates

Immigrant Heritage Month might be over, but our work to train New Americans to run, win, and lead and support our network of more than 500 New American elected officials is never-ending.
You can still support our Immigrant Heritage Month Campaign today by donating $10, $25, $50, or whatever you can. [[link removed]] Every little bit helps and will keep our movement for an inclusive democracy going strong.
Between the Supreme Court's decision to cruelly overturn Roe v. Wade to the mounting violence and hate against immigrants and people of color, it has never been more clear that we need a new generation of diverse leaders who are in solidarity with our communities in positions of power.
That's where you come in.

If you're ready to strengthen our democracy and stand up for our rights, we need you at our Ready to Win training [[link removed]] in Washington, D.C. on August 26-29. Here, we’ll show you everything you need to know to be the candidate or campaign staffer our communities need.
Applications are due on July 11th but don't wait—apply today! [[link removed]]
Today, we’re having a little Friday Flashback to our Ready to Lead: Colorado training in early June, where we trained dozens of New American leaders to run, win, and lead! Two members of the incredible cohort, Adrina Kachaturian and Fariza Akmalova, were recently highlighted in this article [[link removed]] about the training.
[[link removed]]
As our alum, Maytham Alshadood, who helped us put on the training noted, “Adrina and Fariza represent the next generation of leadership that the community needs. While keeping true to their roots and traditions, they both know how important it is to be civically engaged as new American leaders.”

Help fight systemic white supremacy by supporting our mission to get more women, immigrants, and underrepresented Americans on the ballot and into power.
