Fellow Conservative,
This week, the House is voting on dangerous legislation that could strip states of their powers to control their own elections.
The Voting Rights Advancement Act (H.R. 4) is another thinly veiled effort by the left to use the federal government to overturn voter ID laws, and prevent states from ensuring the integrity of their own elections.
H.R. 4 hijacks the Voting Rights Act by replacing the worthwhile goal of ending racial discrimination with the completely partisan goal of advancing liberal political candidates. The Voting Rights Act implemented temporary requirements on certain states and jurisdictions, known as coverage formulas, in order to end systemic racial discrimination in voting laws. Racial discrimination in our voting laws is bad and is illegal for good reason. This bill does nothing to advance the rights of minorities.
Congress must REJECT House Democrats’ efforts to centralize power and rig election processes in their favor.
Call your House representative TODAY and ask that they reject H.R. 4! Click here to tweet your opposition after you call.
