Hi John, it's Trudy. I'm reaching out because I wanted you to be the first to know: We officially hit our very first FEC grassroots fundraising goal! Thank you so, so much for being on this team with me.

Because of supporters like you, we had the early, strong momentum that we needed to hit this goal. I know people and pundits are watching these numbers to judge the strength of our campaign, and we've shown them we're a force to be reckoned with.

Now that we've crossed this first big deadline, we just have one month until the primary. The pressure is really on from now until then, but you know that this campaign isn't about hitting goals and deadlines. It's about bridging divides and healing a hurting nation. 

And John, that's exactly why I'm running for Senate. I want to make life easier for the people of Missouri and for those around the country. 

These past few years have been tough for all of us in so many different ways, and there is a lot to heal from. Families have lost loved ones to the devastating pandemic. Parents are struggling to pay the bills and put dinner on the table. Gun violence has left countless families heartbroken with the loss of someone they love. Now, women are watching our reproductive rights be stripped away from us. And all the while, communities and neighbors are being torn apart by the extremism and partisanship in Washington.

I know that tackling big issues like these isn't easy – and maybe some would call me an idealist. But I truly believe that if we bring compassion, integrity, and honesty back to Washington – if our leaders do more listening and less lecturing – we can make life so much better for American families. 

I am so, so grateful to have your partnership in this work. Thank you for believing in the power of goodness and hope.
