Friend, after weeks of disheartening news from the Supreme Court, we finally have something to celebrate: Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson just officially became the first Black woman in history to be sworn in as a member of the U.S. Supreme Court.
This is such an important day in America's history, as we move one step closer to becoming the land of freedom, opportunity and equality that we have always purported ourselves to be. We're not there yet, but moments like this make me believe we will get there.
I'm proud and grateful to witness this momentous occasion, and I am so excited for all the young girls across the country who can dream a little bigger now that they will grow up seeing themselves reflected in our nation's highest court.
In honor of this incredibly important day, I hope you will join me in congratulating Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and wishing her well on the Court. I'm hoping to gather at least 10,000 signatures before midnight, and I would love for you to be one of them: Please, will you sign the card now to congratulate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on her historic achievement?

Thank you,
Jeanne
