In the few short years I’ve had the great fortune to get to know Norman, he’s just as vibrant and passionate about defending the American Way as he was over 40 years ago when People For was created – and he understands that the organization’s mission is just as important today as it was then.
In the wake of some devastating setbacks to Americans’ rights, our core American values, and our precious democracy, it can be hard to keep the faith and the energy needed to continue fighting. Norman is someone who knows how to do it. In his 100 years of life, our friend Norman has seen his fair share of ups and downs, but his spirit and unmatched patriotism and dedication to the American Way continue to fuel his passion to this day.
As Norman prepares to celebrate his 100th birthday later this month, I wanted to take a moment and reach out to you and invite you to sign his birthday card (along with giving you an opportunity to send him well wishes for his birthday).
As Norman prepares to enter his 101st year of life, let us pause and reflect on our progress, how we got to this moment, and where we go from here – and take inspiration from the hard-fought efforts of our friend Norman and his efforts to shape society and move the needle on so many issues towards a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant America.
