It’s no secret that it’s been a hard month, with Supreme Court decisions that struck down Roe, handed a win to the gun lobby, and – just yesterday – dealt a blow to the EPA’s work fighting climate change.

But through all that there is hope and progress. 

My office has redoubled our commitment to protect reproductive health care in California and ensure that abortion care remains accessible. We have continued our work holding corporations accountable and leading the charge to increase transparency around climate change. And we have released new resources and data to help reduce hate crimes.

California has long been a leader in the fight for progress, and we’re not going to stop here. We will protect the values and rights we hold dear today and every day, and we will fight to advance these rights across the country. As extremist Republicans continue their push to roll us backwards, we cannot do anything less.
