Are government officials accountable for their wasteful spending?
John,
Accountability is exactly what we need from our government officials right
now, John, and it is exactly what we do not get.
Instead, we get excessive spending that caused the worst inflation in 40 years
and empty lip service from politicians.
That's why Citizens Against Government Waste’s work is so important.
Because at our core that is what we do. We demand accountability.
And with your help, we’re able to do that in three strategic ways.
We research.
We educate.
We advocate.
But none of that is possible without members like you in our corner, John.
In a few weeks we are launching our mid-year fundraising campaign for what we
hope will be our greatest and most successful push for federal government
accountability yet.
President Ronald Reagan said it best: “…the work of Citizens Against
Government Waste is so vital - vital in the battle against budget deficits and
vital to the strength and resiliency of the democratic system and public
confidence in our government.”
Citizens Against Government Waste is America’s #1 taxpayer watchdog, and we
have helped to save taxpayers $2.3 trillion since the organization was founded
in 1984.
But we are only as effective as the American people who support our efforts.
That is why I hope you will mark your calendar for July 11 for the official
launch of our mid-year Waste Watcher Fund, which will provide critical
resources for our fall programs.
As always thank you for your continued support of Citizens Against Government
Waste.
Be on the lookout for updates about this critical campaign and how you can
help.
Sincerely,
Tom Schatz
President
