In a historic moment for our nation, the U.S. Supreme Court has officially overturned Roe v. Wade, returning the issue of abortion back to the states! This is a tremendous victory for the right to life for every American. Now the real battle for life begins in Michigan. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU are determined to put unlimited abortion on the November ballot. If this proposed amendment to the Michigan constitution goes through, it would again legalize abortion to an extent not yet seen in Michigan. Coach's Freedom to Pray is Preserved The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled 6-3 in favor of Joseph Kennedy, a high school football coach who lost his job after he refused to stop praying on the field after games. The Supreme Court ruled that the First Amendment protects his free speech! This is a significant victory in the fight to ensure that all Americans have the right to religious freedom and the exercise of their deeply held convictions and values. Read more about this news story by clicking here. NY Gun Control Law Struck Down The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled 6-3 that a NY gun control law is in violation of the Second and 14th Amendments. The 1911 New York state law only allowed concealed carry permits for individuals with "good moral character" and "proper cause." This outcome affirms the constitutional right to bear arms. Arizona lawmakers passed a groundbreaking bill last week allowing the State's 1.1 million students—from kindergarten to high school graduation—access to a school of their choice. Corey A. Arizona's bill passed the same week the U.S. Supreme Court extended school-choice eligibility nationwide, which bars states from discriminating against religious institutions with school-voucher programs.
