You walk through the doors of The Heritage Foundation where you are surrounded by like-minded Conservative students who are fighting for the same values you believe in. The Young Leaders Program selects undergraduate (eligible at 60 credit hours), graduate, law students, and recent graduates for 60+ positions across the organization. This paid, prestigious internship takes place in Washington, D.C. at The Heritage Foundation’s headquarters right on Capitol Hill. Interns gain hands-on work experience and training, including weekly briefings from experts on foreign, economic, and domestic policy. Interns receive mentorship and professional development and explore the foundations of American history and political thought through our First Principles series. As part of our 2025 Project, we train our interns for future jobs in the Executive and Legislative branches of government.

- Outreach and Event Planning
- Donor Relations
- News Reporting at The Daily Signal
