One of the things that makes America great is our diversity - diversity of culture, food, language, and ideas. We are a country built by immigrants seeking the American Dream - a new life where hard work turns into real opportunity.

These very tenets are under threat for hundreds of thousands of young people across our nation today. Over 800,000 young people are protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) - they are able to work, go to school, and be productive members of our society - but they have no path to citizenship.

If Congress doesn’t act, these DREAMers will be deported from the only home they have ever known - the United States. This is not the American Dream. As many as 16,200 DACA recipients have already lost their work permits and protections since the Trump administration froze the program - and now, with the program headed before the Supreme Court in 2020, Trump only wants to grow that number.
