Sylvester Turner saw fit to decline not one, but two debate invitations this week. The formats would have been much tighter, more focused and productive than previous debates since he and I are the only two contenders in the mayoral race.

When I publicly called on Sylvester Turner to reconsider his response to these invitations, his camp DENIED there were even scheduled debates. On that note, I submit to you the following debate invitation sent by KPRC Channel 2, League of Women Voters and Telemundo to both myself and Sylvester Turner.

Again, I call on Sylvester Turner to reconsider his response to these invitations and join me on the debate stage for the benefit of the voting public.
