Environmental Piece in Star Advertiser

This week, Josh wrote an op-ed in the Honolulu Star Advertiser [[link removed]] highlighting some of the ways that he would be a leader on climate change and the environment when elected Governor.

In the op-ed, Josh highlighted how Hawaii is in a unique position to lead the country on climate change protections, and with good reason — our natural resources are a huge part of life in Hawaii, not just for our economy, but for our culture and our way of life. By investing in alternative energy sources, committing to a carbon-neutral future, and working with our energy sector to advance clean energy technologies, Hawaii can continue to lead the country on this crucial issue.

Honolulu AIDS Walk

This year marks the 31st anniversary of the Honolulu AIDS Walk. The theme of this year’s walk was “ And the walk continues: a tribute to the long rich history of the Honolulu AIDS walk while looking to the future with excitement and hope.” It was a joyous opportunity in Kapiolani park to reflect on just how far treatment for HIV/AIDS has come in the last 30 years.

Dr. Green spoke before the walk started and highlighted the progress made in treating HIV/AIDS, noting that HIV/AIDS is no longer a death sentence thanks to significant advancements in medicine that have been made to fight this terrible disease. Thanks to the Honolulu AIDS walk for having us this weekend, and for their kind words!
