There is never an ideal time to send an email like this. And even if there was, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be now.

I'm writing today because tonight is a critically important fundraising deadline for our team, and we can't push it back. We're about to file a public report with the Federal Election Commission showing all the donations that came in for the quarter ending today, and we're coming up short.

I'm hoping I can count on you to help me raise the final $12,391 we need to reach our goal for the quarter.

Will you chip in before midnight to help me and my colleagues expand our Democratic Senate majority and prepare for the next election? [[link removed]]

I'm proud that our Democratic majority has been able to deliver relief, invest in infrastructure, create jobs, and help more people put food on the table since the last election, but our work isn't done.

A lot of folks are hurting and struggling right now, and it's frustrating to me that, because of Republican obstruction and the filibuster, our razor-thin majority hasn't been enough to pass more bills that could help level the playing field for working families.

Now, more than ever, we need to elect more Democrats who will fearlessly stand up for what's right and expand our majority. I'm writing to ask you to chip in so we can provide candidates across the country with the resources they need to win. There's no limit to what we could do with two more Democratic seats next year.
