The Supreme Court just ruled to gut the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to go after polluters and address the climate crisis.
We must fight back now. Will you chip in before the midnight FEC deadline to help Maria ramp up her climate work in the Senate?
In yet another radical, detrimental decision, the Supreme Court today sharply limited the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to use the Clean Air Act to reduce carbon pollution.
That means the EPA will be severely hampered in enacting and enforcing greenhouse gas emission regulations – a major blow to the most powerful tool President Biden has to combat climate change.
That means until we are able to rebalance our judiciary, the primary way to reverse the Court’s regressive ruling is by holding and expanding our Democratic majorities.
Now, more than ever, we need environmental champions like Maria in the Senate. Fighters with a proven track record passing clean energy incentives and pushing back on Big Oil who will never give up.
Will you rush in a donation of $20 or more before our midnight FEC deadline to help Maria ramp up this vital work?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately.
Journalists have documented how conservatives and corporate polluters have worked for decades to hijack the Court in order to handcuff the agencies we depend on to enforce worker protections, consumer rights, and environmental safeguards.
That’s why today’s Supreme Court decision is one of the most consequential of our lifetime. Because of this, it will become immensely more difficult to safeguard the health of our communities, clean up the air we breathe, and stop the worst impacts of climate change before it's too late.
We can’t afford to let up our efforts to protect and expand our Democratic majorities in Congress – that means supporting environmental champions like Maria.
Will you chip in right away to ensure Maria can continue fighting to protect us from increasingly frequent and intense extreme weather events and leave a habitable planet for future generations?
Thanks for all you do,
Team Cantwell
