john –

The Supreme Court might have stripped away the constitutional right to an abortion, but they don’t get the final say. Now that states are the new battleground in the fight for reproductive freedom, the landscape has shifted. Without Roe v. Wade as a safeguard federally, Minnesota could soon become the only state in the upper Midwest with safe and legal access to abortion.

That’s why it’s so important we support my friends Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan in their election here this fall. With just hours before our crucial FEC fundraising deadline — will you split a contribution between Gov. Walz’s re-election campaign and my work to support reproductive justice champions up and down the ballot?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately and be split between Tina Smith and Tim Walz:

Gov. Walz signed an Executive Order to further protect people who get or provide legal abortions in Minnesota from possible legal repercussions in other states – the only non-coastal state to provide that protection.

That makes Minnesota a safe haven for reproductive freedom, and as long as Tim Walz is governor, it will stay that way.

The threat of losing those rights are real. Gov. Walz’s Republican anti-choice extremist opponents have pledged to ban abortion outright, with no exceptions even for rape or incest, the first chance they get.

Gov. Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan have been very clear: They will not allow Donald Trump’s 6-3 conservative Supreme Court majority to set back our rights here in Minnesota. There will not be an abortion ban on their watch.

Tonight marks the first FEC reporting deadline since the Supreme Court overturned Roe. Can I count on you to split a donation between Gov. Walz’s re-election and my campaign to ensure we have the resources we need to defend Minnesotans right to reproductive health care?

Thank you for your continued support, john. We’re facing a long, tough road ahead. The only way we’re going to get through it is by fighting together.
