With the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, the gubernatorial race in Michigan has become more significant than ever.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer is running for re-election in November and is committed to fighting for reproductive freedom.

If abortion becomes illegal in Michigan, almost 2.2 million people will lose bodily autonomy. Currently, Gov. Whitmer is doing everything she can to keep this from happening. A few months ago, she used her executive authority to file a lawsuit in Michigan’s Supreme Court to protect the right to an abortion. This is the kind of leadership we need right now.

Her race is a TOSS-UP, and we can’t lose ground in the fight for reproductive rights.
