I’m Madeleine Dean – but this week, I’m just plain mad.
I’m mad that this has been such a dark week for women and girls, for equality, for our rights, and for our country. I’m mad that my colleagues across the aisle ignore public opinion – 80% of voters across the U.S. agree that the decision to have an abortion should be left to a patient and their doctor.
And though DC Republicans continue to ignore the will of the people, I fear our Democratic majority in the House might slip away from us. We’re in the fight of our lives, women’s and girl’s lives – we cannot go backwards. I will do all I can, and I’ll fight as hard as I can, to ensure that we defend – and advance – our fundamental rights.
In order to do that, though, I’ve got to keep my campaign running efficiently – and that requires money to reach critically important voters.
