Hi John, I’ll keep this short.

I know you’ve heard from my team a lot this week, and I appreciate you sticking with us.

John, asking for money is probably my least favorite part of campaigning. But the truth is, we don’t have the same corporate donors or self-funding capability my opponent has. I’m proud to be funded by folks like you, but that means hitting every single fundraising goal is dependent on all of us working together.

Tonight is a big night for our campaign. After tonight, my team will turn over our fundraising report to the Federal Election Commission, and then everyone – including Kevin McCarthy and my opponent Jeremy Shaffer – will be able to see the strength of our grassroots movement. That’s why it’s so important to me that we put forward the strongest showing possible.
