John — Ashley here, I wanted to check in with you real quick.
As a woman and a veteran, the right to an abortion is not about politics for me, it's not a talking point — it's personal.
In the Army, I was stationed in Alabama, Texas, and Kansas. I didn’t get to choose where I lived. If I had been in uniform when Roe was overturned, like my sisters-in-arms are now, I would have had little or no legal access to abortions.
With more and more women in the U.S. military, the Roe v. Wade overturning is a matter of national security. Our service members who fought for our freedoms overseas only to see them stripped away in their own country deserve better.
Every politician who enabled the Supreme Court to turn the clock backward is responsible for endangering millions of Americans, and Brian Fitzpatrick is one of them. He failed to codify Roe v. Wade when it mattered most, and Pennsylvanians are paying the price for it.
The good news is that voters are paying attention, and a recent poll has our movement winning by 10 percentage points when Pennsylvanians learn about my opponent’s anti-choice voting record. That means we have a good shot at flipping PA-01 blue, but it’s going to take significant resources and lots of one-on-one conversations to be successful.
Tomorrow is the last day before the FEC filing deadline closes, and I need you in this fight to win. Will you please contribute any amount toward my campaign to build up a massive GOTV operation and send Brian Fitzpatrick packing this November?

I promise to fight like hell for our fundamental freedoms in Congress. In dark times like this moment, we all have to come together to change the course of our state’s history.
Thanks for being the heart and soul of this people-powered campaign.
