Ukraine drives Russian forces from Snake Island

Russian troops have withdrawn from Snake Island in the Black Sea after repeated assaults by Ukrainian forces, a move that is a setback for Moscow’s forces and possibly undermines their control over vital shipping lanes for grain in the Black Sea, as the NYT reports.

Supreme Court limits EPA’s power

The Supreme Court on Thursday sharply cut back the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to reduce the carbon output of existing power plants, as the Washington Post reports.

OPEC, Allies Agree to Boost Oil Production

OPEC and its allies agreed to boost oil production on Thursday, endorsing a plan they announced earlier this month that has done little to alleviate concerns over supply ahead of President Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia in July, as the WSJ reports.
